Principal’s Message

Marist Regional College is a co-educational Catholic secondary school catering for young people from Year 7 to Year 12. Marist enjoys an excellent reputation as a result of our achievements in academic, vocational and co-curricular endeavours.

The College enjoys exceptional facilities on a site covering more than 17 hectares overlooking Bass Strait. Located centrally in Burnie, we service the north-west coast of Tasmania. Our students are drawn from Ulverstone through to Circular Head and beyond.

As a College we are focused on personal excellence and work with our students and their families to discern their unique and varied pathways, assisting them to achieve their potential in whatever field they choose. Graduates of Marist excel in a wide variety of fields including tertiary studies, apprenticeships and direct employment.

As a College we welcome all families who support the values of the College and seek a community based on hospitality, respect, justice, compassion and responsibility. Marist is a place where young people grow with confidence and purpose, secure in the knowledge that they will be, known, safe and valued members of the community.

We are committed to a whole community approach to education whereby families are rightfully held as a cornerstone for educational achievement. We encourage and foster opportunities for parental engagement and know that this partnership is integral to our College’s ongoing success in all fields.

I invite you to look through our website and contact our Registrar for any assistance. Regular school tours are held throughout the year or you may choose to have a personal tour at a time that suits you.

I look forward to welcoming you to our College should you choose us as your partner in the journey of your child’s education.

Mr Peter Douglas

Principal (Acting)
