Marist Regional College has as its objective the provision of secondary education according to the Catholic ethos for children of the Burnie area and the North-West and West coasts of Tasmania.

We seek to achieve this goal by being a truly Christian community in which members, bound together by a common spirit, respect the dignity and the individuality of each person.

As a community, we aim to offer each member the opportunity to grow and mature to his or her full potential and live as a valued and contributing member of our ever changing society.

We do this by drawing on the strength of Catholic tradition and by striving to live by the motto “Love the Truth”.

Marist Regional College strives to be a Catholic community which sets Christ as its model and lives in communion with God and each other through the Marist and Mercy spirit.
We strive to:

  • build meaningful relationships based on respect, hospitality, justice, compassion and responsibility
  • constantly challenge ourselves and encourage others to pursue individual potential, academically, physically, socially, culturally, emotionally and spiritually
  • develop and embrace strategies that improve student outcomes and energise relationships within the school and wider community
  • build a professional learning culture of open, honest communication that is reflective, appropriately consultative and collaborative.
