The crest of Marist Regional College speaks of its history and its strength. The star which is a symbol of Mary, our patroness, signifies our hope and comfort through our pilgrimage of life.

It comes from the crest of Stella Maris Regional College . From Marist Colleges come the monogram A.M., which stands for “Ave Maria”. (Hail Mary).

The monogram is also a symbol for Mary, and it is from her name that the title “Marist” is derived. Mary was the first disciple of Jesus.

The motto is “LOVE THE TRUTH”. Students belonging to this school strive to love the truth and to enjoy the freedom that the truth gives us. This truth is not only found in our words, but in all our relationships with God and others. It also calls us to be true to ourselves.

We must always remember that crests are only symbols. As such they are given their value by the actions of those who bear them. May the crest of our College be a sign of quality, the quality of a life governed by Christian love founded on Christian truth, in the spirit of Mary.
